From Broken to Building: My Story and the Divorced Dads Support Group Mission

I wasn’t the one who created this group. That credit goes to Jared Sequin—a Michigan man who laid the foundation and brought thousands of dads together during their darkest chapters.

But when Jared decided to step back and hand over the keys, I knew in my gut that this convoy still had a lot of miles left to go.

And I wasn’t about to let it idle on the side of the Divorced Dad Highway!

Like many of you, I didn’t arrive here by accident.
My own story’s got plenty of wreckage—divorce, betrayal, heartbreak, silence.
One day I had a home, a family, a rhythm.
The next, I was staring at a twin bed mattress where our queen bed used to be...

I had more questions than answers and I even punched a hole in the wall which became a hole in my heart.

I didn’t know where to turn, who to talk to, or even how to think straight.

But little by little, step by step, I found a way to shift gears. I stopped trying to go it alone and started listening, learning, and eventually… leading.

When Jared passed the torch, he wasn’t just handing off a Facebook group—he was handing over a movement.
A brotherhood.
A digital truckstop for men to refuel their hearts and minds.

And I knew I was called to keep that mission alive.

Now I show up NOT because I have it all figured out—but because I remember what it felt like to be stuck, parked, and nearly out of gas.... sitting on the side of life's highway all alone.

I didn’t build this convoy from scratch—but I damn sure believe in where it’s headed.
I’m here to serve, guide, listen, and lead. To fuel up men who’ve been through hell and help them realize they’re still capable of heaven.
